It should be less about the feminist idea and more about the humanist idea. Dividing any social entity only leads to more conflict. Wars are only ever fought between 2 or more factions. If unity and equality is what everyone seeks, then uniting is the only true option. Spend less time throwing punches at those who are wrong and commit to the idea that you are responsible for convincing them that you are right. If your response to being treated like an outcast is casting someone out, then you’ve only sunken that which would have been an even field. You’ve become what they believed you to be. The only person that can truly push you down and away is yourself. Whenever I’m in a position like this (for me, it’s usually about any general form of theism), I have to remind myself of the difference between an argument and a debate.
